Your domain name is your address on the internet. It appears in your email address and is part of how you establish your brand. Domains are inexpensive (typically $8 to $15 per year) and registration takes about five minutes.

What Makes a Good Domain

.com is still king. Despite hundreds of new extensions, .com remains the most trusted. If your ideal .com is taken, consider a variation before settling for a different extension.

Shorter is better. Aim for under 15 characters. Long names are hard to remember and easy to mistype.

Avoid hyphens and numbers. They create confusion when spoken and look unprofessional.

Make it brandable. Memorable, easy to spell, and works as a brand name.
